Bayside City Council

Bayside City Council’s 2013 iPad Training Sessions for Seniors Program has been a huge hit! Organised by Council’s Aged and Disability Services team, this successful inter-generational program has provided the opportunity for Sandringham College Year Nine students to teach Bayside seniors how to use an iPad. Friendships have been forged, new connections made and the social benefits of the program are wonderful to see. Happy Viewing!

Southern Grampians Shire Council

In 2013 I produced a video for the Community Development Department of Sth Grampians Shire Council. It documents their recent Community Planning Forum held in Hamilton. It includes an explanation of the Community Planning Framework; the role of community and council; and emphasises how important it is for the community to engage & take ownership of these decision making processes.

Surf Coast Shire Aged Care & Disability Services

In 2011 the Surf Coast Shire and Luminessence Films collaborated on the production of an inspirational and informative promotional video. The purpose of the video was two-fold: To promote the Shire’s Aged Care & Disability Services; and to provide inspiration for the frail & elderly and people with a disability to engage more fully with their community and participate in various council programs on offer. A wonderful range of people of all ages and abilities were filmed in townships across the Shire, accessing services and taking part in activities throughout the region. It was a great example of how the council contributes to the wellbeing of its community members and the video has proven to be a useful educational & promotional tool.
